NEW CHEVROLET BEAT CARS NOW IN POKHARA

The Chevrolet  Beat concept, which debuts today at the  Show.
“Every morning when you wake up, you yearn to be a hero that day,” said Kim, assistant manager of the minicar exterior design team at GM’s Design Center in Inchon, South Korea. And in Kim’s mind, that hero is driving the Beat, Chevrolet’s concept interpretation of a micro import tuner that’s “simple, free and casual, with a strong heart.”
The Chevrolet Beat is a front-wheel-drive, three-door hatchback wrapped in a bright Vertigo Green exterior finish that exudes energy and extends into the interior. The overall mood of the exterior and interior design is that of a high-performance, high-tech micro tuner car, with fascia’s, rocker panels, lamps and wheels enhanced for personalization, a strong trend among buyers in this market.
Engine
The Chevrolet Beat is powered by a S-TEC II engine – a 4-cylinder, 16-valve 1199cc DOHC engine, delivering a mileage of 18.6 kmpl and peak power of 80.5ps. The S-TEC II engine employs PDA (Port De-Activation) system which “ensures high exhaust gas recirculation, resulting in combustion stability at low speeds and optimal performance at high speeds together with improved fuel efficiency.” The PDA system also reduces emissions.
An automatic temperature controller inside the engine is another unique feature which uses a dome-type long-skirt cylinder block narrowing the space between intake valves while the application of four resonators reduces engine noise. It is mated with the efficient S-TEC-II engine is a 5-speed manual transmission.
Design And Comfort
Chevrolet Beat can be considered as the most unique of all the current hatchback models in India. The unconventional design of this stylish car was sketched in Korea, while the car has been built in India. Prima facie, Chevrolet Beat looks like a 3-door car, due to the secret rear door handles being integrated into the car’s C-Pillar. An integrated spoiler is one of the standard features of the car. With an integrated and aggressive body kit and a roof-mounted spoiler, Beat has been fashioned into an Ultra-racing concept vehicle. An elongated face, narrow headlamps, an angled mouth-like grille and a jutting chin are some of the other stylish features of the automobile. Interiors
The flowing interior of Chevrolet Beat weaves together the instrument panel, front seats and door trims, creating an environment that is harmonious, uninterrupted and inviting to the senses. An exterior-color-matched instrument panel and door trim will be offered in red, blue or silver which enhances the unified design of the interior and exterior.
The interior of Chevrolet Beat is functionality dedicated and the most striking design element is a motorcycle-inspired dynamic meter cluster. The refined interior provides also upgraded functionality with features such as headrests that can be vertically adjusted up to 65 mm, carbon film-heated seats and various storage places. Pattern-printed semi-bucket seats of Chevrolet Beat provide a stable feeling when cornering. With high-quality materials and exceptional craftsmanship, they also enhance the luxurious interior atmosphere.
Ride And Handling
The ride and handling of Chevrolet Beat also set it apart from any other vehicle in its segment. Adopting the body-frame integral (BFI) system, the upper body structure and frame are engineered as a single unit, resulting in better feel of the road along with a heightened sense of firmness and stability, and enhanced connectivity between the driver and vehicle.
A McPherson strut front suspension of Chevrolet Beat combined with a four-point mounted long engine cradle and a width power reduction spring enhances the solidity of the entire chassis, for improved crash safety and driving performance. A rear compound crank torsion beam incorporates a tubular V-beam for more effective tuning and dynamic performance.
Chevrolet Beat features first-in-segment triple acoustic absorbent structure and special underbody structure prevent noise inflow from outside, for optimal quietness. Wind noise is minimized through the Beat’s aerodynamic body line and detailed door sealing structure.
Safety
The new Chevy Beat will be available in three trims viz. the base PS  edition, the mid-level LS version and the plush LT trim. The base PS edition will feature power steering, rear folding seats and manual AC. The mid-level LS edition will additionally include chrome grille, central locking system and rear parcel tray. The plush LT edition would sport roof rails, tilt steering and rear power windows, auto air conditioning and safety features like antilock brake system and airbags.

The base variant comes with AC and power steering. The top of the line LT Option pack consists of ABS, Alloy wheels, Dual Airbags and Seatbelts with Load limiters. The Beat features an array of premium comfort and convenience amenities that one would expect in more expensive vehicles, including Automatic Climate Control, Integrated Centre Stack Audio with USB and Aux-in Port, Tilt steering, Steering Column mounted LED back-lit speedometer & LCD digital tachometer, 60:40 Split folding seats, Tubeless Tyres , Satin Silver Roof rails.

NEW HONDA CB SHINE NOW IN POKHARA


Honda India recently launched the upgraded version of its 125cc Shine with the launch of Honda CB Shine. Honda CB Shine now complies with the new emission norms that came to effect from 1st April, 2010.

रामबजार सोसाइटी युकेद्वारा एम्बुलेन्स सहयोग

पोखराको रामबजारमा स्थायी घर भई हाल बेलायतमा रहेका नेपालीहरुले एम्बुलेन्स सहयोग गरेका छन् । रामबजार सोसाईटी यूकेले नेपाल रेडक्रस सोसाईटी उपशाखा वडा नं १० र ११ लाई एम्बुलेन्स हस्तान्तरण गरेको हो । 
रामबजार टोल सुधार समितिको समन्यवमा उक्त एम्बुलेन्स रेडक्रस उपशाखाले संचालन गर्ने गरी रामबजार सोसाईटी यूकेका सल्लहाकार चन्द्रबहादुर पूनले शनिबार एक समारोहबिच हस्तान्तरण गर्नु भएको थियो । रामबजारका करिव २ सय ५० जना यूकेमा रहेपनि ९२ जनाले ९ लाख ७१ हजार सहयोग गरेको एम्बुलेन्स संचालन समितिका महासचिव सम्मरबहादुर श्रेष्ठले जानकारी दिनुभयो ।
सो अवसरमा प्रमुख अतिथि पुनले रामबजारवासीले गरेको यस्तो कार्यदेखी ज्यादै हर्षित भएको र आगामी दिनमा रामबजार सोसाइटी यूकेको सहयोग अझै निरन्तर रहने र आगामी दिनमा पनि स्वास्थ्य क्षेत्रमा कार्यक्रम अघि बढाउनु पर्ने सुझाव दिदैं स्वास्थ्य क्षेत्रमा पनि लगानी गर्न हामी तयार भएको बताउनुभयो । साथै एम्बुलेन्स संचालनको लागि छुट्टै अक्षयकोष स्थापनाको लागि आफूले पहल गर्ने बचनबद्धता पनि व्यक्त गर्नुभयो ।
उक्त एक्बुलेन्स संचालन गर्नका लागि लेखबहादुर थापाले २५ हजार ५ सय, सूर्य बानिया, सम्मरबहादुर श्रेष्ठ र अमृत पौडेलले जनही २५ हजार १ सय २५ रुपैयाँ अक्षय कोषका लागि सहयोग गरी करिव १ लाखको अक्षय कोष स्थापना गर्नु भएको छ । एम्बुलेन्स संचालन गर्नका लागि अहिले खर्च नभएकोले अक्षयकोष स्थापना गरिएको श्रेष्ठले बताउनुभयो ।
कार्यक्रममा समाजसेवी निरज थापा, बम्हाकुमारी ईश्वरीय विश्वविद्यालय रामबजार शाखाकी सञ्चालिका गोमा, नेपाल रेडक्रस सोसाइटी जिल्ला शाखा कास्कीका सदस्य कृष्ण तिमिल्सिनाले शुभकामना मन्तव्य राख्नु भएको थियो ।
नेपाल रेडक्रस सोसाइटी उपशाखा १०÷११ का सभापति जीवननाथ पौडेलको सभापतित्वमा भएको  कार्यक्रममा स्वागत मन्तव्य टोल सुधार समिति रामबजारका अध्यक्ष तेजप्रसाद दाहालले राख्नु भएको थियो भने कार्यक्रमको संचालन नेपाल रेडक्रस सोसाइटी उपशाखा १०÷११ एवं एम्बुलेन्स संचालक समितिका सचिव बालाकृष्ण शर्माले गर्नुभएको थियो । 
उक्त अवसरमा रामबजार चोकबाट तायमचा नाचको बाजागाजासहित स्थानीय कालिका मन्दिर, अमरसिंह चोक, बुद्धचोक, गौरीमार्ग हुँदै रामबजारबाट कृष्णमन्दिरमा पुगी सभामा परिणत भएको थियो । कार्यक्रममा एम्बुलेन्स प्राप्तिको प्रकृया, हालसम्म संकलित रकम एवम् खर्चको विवरण एवम् सो सञ्चालन सम्बन्धमा सम्भावित समस्याहरुको विस्तृत रुपमा एम्बुलेन्स सञ्चालक समितिका महासचिव एवम नेपाल रेडक्रस सोसाइटी उपशाखा १०÷११ का उपसभापति सम्मरबहादुर श्रेष्ठले पेश गर्नुभएको थियो । प्रमुख अतिथि एवम् रामबजार सोसाइटी यूकेका सल्लाहकार क्या. चन्द्रबहादुर पुन, उहाँकी धर्मपत्नी, बहिनी सरिता पुन र उहाँका परिवार समेतलाई सम्मान गरिएको थियो । उक्त कार्यक्रममा परम्परा फिल्स्का निर्देशक केशबहादुर गुरुङलाई पनि खादा ओढाई सम्मान गरिएको थियो ।
